Danny Jones MIET
Danny began his career with GEC Industrial Controls Ltd where he studied electrical power engineering and process control as an indentured apprentice involved with heavy industrial drives and associated control systems. He went on to further study in business management and marketing. After moving on to spend some 20 years working in the field of power for marine, automotive and renewable applications, he founded Off Grid Energy Ltd as a specialist manufacturer of micro scale battery energy storage systems. The company was focused on serving the utilities, construction and events sectors. He worked to develop portable solutions for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks in association with the Power Networks and Demonstration Centre in Cumbernauld. Danny and Robert then worked together to develop solutions that included pioneering the repurposing EV batteries for JLR and behind the meter smart reinforcement for EV charging networks for UKPN amongst many other original projects.
Dr Robert Seliga
Robert is a PhD-educated power electronics specialist with over 20 years of experience in product design, development, and manufacturing. He is an expert in the on/off-grid battery energy storage systems (BESS), power converter integration, and hybrid power generation technologies – with a proven ability to deliver innovative solutions that improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance an overall system performance.
After working 14 years for Cummins Inc. as Power Converter Design Specialist, Robert joined Off Grid Energy Ltd in 2016 as a Head of Product Development. He was responsible for the design and development of new BESS product portfolio up to 100kVA/175kWh for various markets and applications.
Robert is a recognised industry expert whose engineering skills, extensive technical knowledge and experience empowers Omni Grid Energy in delivering innovative and impactful BESS solutions that drive businesses and organisations towards their sustainability objectives.
